Murder of Young Mom Puts Spotlight on Safety Measures in the Bronx

As a Knight Diversity Internship Program fellow, I covered the Bronx for The Mott Haven Herald and The Hunts Point Express. This investigative piece on the technology-based security measures from the New York City Housing Authority and the New York Police Department surged after a young mother of three was killed while shielding her children from stray gunfire in the playground of the public housing complex.

In addition to this story, I reported on the digital-divide affecting residents in the South Bronx during elections.
